Spasticity management is the treatment of an unusual tightness, stiffness, or pulling of the muscles. At RIM we work closely with the physician to provide therapy that targets functional improvements based on patient goals and rehab potential.

RIM Rehab Spasticity Management Team

A team approach is used in the management of spasticity for both inpatients and outpatients. Our team includes physicians, physical therapists and occupational therapists who collaborate to provide the best treatments and outcomes for each patient.

Spasticity Treatments include:

  • Oral medication
  • Injection therapy
  • Intrathecal Baclofen therapy
  • Neurological or orthopedic surgery
  • Rehabilitation therapy.
