Welcome to the Southeastern Michigan Traumatic Brain Injury System (SEMTBIS) website. We are a traumatic brain injury (TBI) model system research program funded through Wayne State University's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR)..
The SEMTBIS is housed in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan (RIM) in Detroit, Michigan. RIM is part of th Detroit Medical Center (DMC) which is a network of academic health care facilities that are associated with Wayne State University.
